This privacy policy explains, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), which personal data is processed when you visit this website. For visitors from the EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies additionally where relevant.

Principle: a minimal website

This is a static website. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools, loads no external fonts or scripts from third-party servers, and contains no contact forms. When you simply visit the pages, we do not actively collect any personal data. The only exception is the voluntary, anonymous benchmark contribution in the Frontier Fitness Check (see the "Frontier Benchmark" section).

Server logs (hosting)

When the website is accessed, the hosting provider Netlify, Inc. (San Francisco, USA) technically processes connection data: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, browser type, and operating system (server log files).

The purpose of this processing is delivering the website, ensuring stability and security, and defending against attacks. Log data is stored and deleted by the hosting provider according to its policies; it is not combined with other data. Depending on the provider's location, data may be processed abroad; the operator ensures adequate data protection in accordance with Art. 16 et seq. FADP.

Frontier Benchmark (voluntary, anonymous contribution)

The Frontier Fitness Check is evaluated entirely in your browser. After completing the check, you can choose to submit your result to an anonymous industry comparison (DACH benchmark) by clicking "Contribute anonymously". The purpose of this processing is the aggregated comparison of Copilot programs and the basis for an annual, exclusively aggregated report. When the result is displayed, the Fitness Check additionally makes a single anonymous request to the server for a summary figure — the current contribution count and, from 100 contributions onward, the comparison bands. This request contains no answer values and no identifier; as with any page view, the connection data listed under "Server logs" (including the IP address) is processed by the hosting provider.

Only the following is transmitted and stored: the 12 answer values of the check, the zone calculated from them, the language version, and a timestamp rounded to the hour. Optionally, industry, organization size, country/region and rollout phase can be added voluntarily as coarse category values. No email address, no name, no IP address and no device identifiers are stored; no cookie is set and no fingerprinting is used. For abuse prevention, the IP address is checked exclusively in hashed form, transiently in memory, and is never linked to the contribution or stored.

The legal basis is consent given by actively clicking "Contribute anonymously"; without that click, no transmission takes place. Contributions are stored with the hosting provider Netlify (processor; the "Server logs" section applies accordingly).

Since contributions are anonymous and cannot be attributed to any person, subsequent withdrawal or individual deletion is technically not possible; the anonymous contributions and the aggregates built from them are retained indefinitely.

Newsletter (LinkedIn)

The "Copilot Your Day" newsletter is offered via the third-party platform LinkedIn (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company). Subscriptions are taken out directly on that platform; this website does not collect any data in the process.

The platform's own privacy policy governs its data processing — including any disclosure of personal data to the USA. Please check directly with LinkedIn before subscribing.

Links to external websites

This website contains links to external websites (e.g. LinkedIn, Campana & Schott). When you click them, you leave copilotyourday.com; the operators of the target sites are responsible for data processing there.

Your rights

Under the FADP you have the right to information about the personal data processed, to rectification of inaccurate data, to erasure, and to object to processing. To exercise these rights, an email to hey [at] pascalbrunner [dot] io is sufficient.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC): www.edoeb.admin.ch.

Changes

This privacy policy may be updated if the website or the legal situation changes (e.g. if new features such as embedded subscription forms are introduced). The version published here applies.
